In this modern era in a country like India English is an important language for an educated person to earn his livelihood.

Speaking in English has become must for an educated person to grow his status and to maintain his position in this tough and competitive corporate industry. To be honest only good communication skills in English is enough for a person to survive in this competitive world. A person with his\her subject knowledge is not enough to earn a job in India. In this present scenario in India after few years English may overtake our national language.

English has influenced our regional languages so much that speaking in English has become an honour to our people. Even we can see in our political leader’s speeches or our actors comments they all speak in English rather than in our national language Hindi or any other regional language. Especially in Andhra Pradesh the Influence of English language in more when compared to other states in India. It may due to the excessive IT sector companies have been establishing their branches in Hyderabad. Hyderabad is becoming the main Place for this IT sector.

In My opinion English can’t be learned in a short period of time because it is not our mother tongue, but the person having enthusiasm and interest to learn English can learn quickly. The grammar which we are taught by the teacher in the school should be correct as we would speak or teach the same English which has been taught by our teacher. In some schools correct English is not taught due to which lot of people are suffering. When they go to an Interview they speak in the incorrect English taught to them in the school.

To speak English fluently and correctly, reading newspapers, novels, books and then practicing it with the family members, friends and teachers is must. Other best way to learn English and understand it is to visualize the words into your regional language and speak out.

English is the most important language in world. 85% People Know English.

In Asian countries some people enjoy speaking in English but some people fear to speak in that language. I think it’s very important to learn English now days because if we learn English we can improve our skills and also benefit in our future growth.

English is important in our life because if we know English

° We can survive in any place.

° We can get a good job.

° We can travel every where.

My Native language is Telugu. In my school days I was always afraid of people who speak in English. I felt that English is the only enemy of my entire life. After entering college I was much worried about speaking in English, so I decided to learn English and within few months I learnt the language. After learning English I laughed at my self thinking of what I expected about English previously.

Funny English -Telugu

Cat is on the wall – goda meedha pilli

Cool Man – challa manishi

Good Man – manchimanishi

Rock the party – davthlo rayee pettu

Funny English – Hindi

What’s up man – upper kya hai admi

Comeback – aaja piche

The best way to learn English:

° Learn Grammar. If we know grammar we can speak English perfectly.

° Daily Read newspapers and English books to improve English

° Talk in English without shy and fear. Try speaking in English whether it’s right or wrong and then you will know how to speak.

I always admired people who could speak several languages but could never take time out to learn another language until I moved to Brighton. My colleagues and friends, whom I met in Brighton, inspired to take a step further to learn a new language. As I have several colleagues from Spain and Columbia, I decided to learn Spanish.

At first my plan was to learn by reading books and to practise Spanish with my colleagues but it was very hard for me to keep up, so finally decided to take a Spanish course with Cactus in Brighton. The first course was fun and the teacher encouraged us to speak in Spanish throughout the class. I was impressed with the first course so I also took beginners plus course with them. I have taken a break now and hoping to join the elementary level in January.

I find some Spanish words very similar to English so it isn’t difficult to memorise them and I can also relate Spanish to Hindi and Telugu which are my native languages because we use formal and informal languages and our sentence formation changes with the gender just like Spanish. I find it easy to learn when I relate to the languages which I already know.

Wish me good luck and I hope to write a blog in Spanish in near future

I am writing about my travel Experience in Tirupati which is in Chitoor District of Andhra Pradesh, South India. I went to Tirupati last year (2008) to view Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), a Temple of Sri Lord Venkateshwara, which I know is a richest temple in India and the world. I was there for 4 days in those 4 days I visited so many places which I wrote below.

To reach the temple you have to cross seven hills which are very high. On the bus you can go in 45 minutes and few people go by walk and it takes 12 to 16 hours to reach. After reaching there if you see down you will think there is nothing down and it is fully covered by snow. It will be excellent if you visit once you will know that enjoyment.

Many devotees vow to shave their head as a thank you to god for fulfilling their wishes.

After reaching seven hills you can visit many other places such as Makara Thoranam , Akasha Ganga, Phapa Nashi, Museum of TTD where you can see gold Jewellery, Kitchen equipments and old statues and many more thing’s of 14century and Big forest full of Tiger’s and Elephant’s and there are many solar fans to supply current. Below the seven hills you can visit Beautiful temple of Hara Ram Hara Krishna, Govida Rajula Swamy temple, Beautiful Chandragiri Fort of 11th Century and many other places.
I went with my Mom, Dad, Sis, Brothers and we enjoyed a lot there. Laddu with (Pure Ghee) is the excellent prasadam and you can’t find the same taste of laddu any where in the world except in Tirupati. Each person gets only one laddu, other than laddu you can find other prasadams such as Curd rice, Vada, Sweet pongal, and TTD provides free meals to all the people who visit temple.

More than 50,000 thousands of people visit the Temple daily, they give lots of donations and that total amount was 10 billion Rupees in the last year 2008. By this you can know how many people will visits daily.

Hello Everybody, my favorite place in Andhra Pradesh is Aruku it is also called as Andhra Ooty because of its nature and climate. This place is hill station and very cool in all seasons especially in winter aruku looks so beautiful. Everybody likes to see this place in winter season.

Aruku is 200k.m from visakhapatnam, only one train is available early in the morning train journey is so exciting because we will find so many caves, waterfalls and forest. Only few places like tribal village, museum, tyda and waterfalls are there in aruku to see, but the traveler’s enjoyes the climate of that place because in early mornings the fog covers all the villages and hills and it seems like most beautiful place.

Here so many restaurants are available but everybody prefers tribal restaurant. Here all andhra, Chinese food is available, in aruku where ever you go you’ll find tribal people. Their food, language and everything is different and they welcome travelers with their special dance called DHIMSHA. If you are going to aruku then must go in winter season and don’t forget to watch Dhimsha.

Harayana is a village located in the north of the India, were we can find many historical places, the mahals (palaces), killas, tomb’s etc. We can also find a large number of peacocks (national bird of India) roaming on the roof of the houses in villages of Harayana.

Now I would like to tell you about the cloths worn by people of Harayana. You can find many old men wearing the dhoti & pagadi (turban) instead of wearing jeans or pants. The elder men would like to wear the dhoti, kameej and a pagadi upon there head and they wear on jouthi (shoe’s which made of leathers) on their foot instead of wearing sandals and chapals…most of the women wear the ghagara and cholli’s and a very little percentage of women’s wear saris and the youth or the youngster’s wear the common dress, like casuals or jeans and t-shirts.

Now I would like to discuss about the food and eating habits… 90 % of the people eat food made of wheat like chapattis, raabadi (not sweet one..) and eat Curd, ghee, etc…. we can also find many farmer’s and agricultural land in different parts of the Harayana. 60-70 % people do agriculture, they work on their land growing grain and after selling they earn money. You can find 100 % original ghee (clarified butter) only in the villages of Harayana

In South India, rice is the main staple food and in the north it is wheat. The Harayana, Rajasthan, and Punjab supply 70-80 % of food grains to the other parts of India.

We can’t say that Harayana is not developing, it’s developing day by day…we can also find super markets, multiplex cinema halls and many IT companies etc…

There are many engineering and commerce colleges and International schools in Harayana.

The weather in Harayana is not much hot compared to Rajasthan. In summer the temperature can go up to 42c and in winter season it is as cool as Jammu.

I didn’t visit Harayana since past 3 years but in coming summer I wish that I can visit, but going to Harayana in winter and monsoon is better instead summer..

I am writing about my Travel Experience in Vizag, which is also called as Vishakhapatnam. When I was doing my 2nd year of graduation in Hyderabad, I and my friends planned to go on the tour. At that time I was also doing a part job in a company.

Finally we decided to go to Vizag and Araku for a 3 day trip. We booked the train tickets and told one my friend, who was already staying in Vizag, to book a cab for travelling to tourist attractions. Everything was fine….but a problem was that we got holidays in college but I didn’t get leave in the office. I was tensed at that time but got a plan and I just seriously went to my superior and told him that I got a call from my home and my grandfather was serious (he already expired). I took his permission and started from the office….

Our train was due to start at 5pm from Hyderabad, so we all gathered at one place and went to the station at 4:30pm. The Train started and we were tired so went to sleep for some time and after we woke up, we didn’t know how to pass the time in the train. So we walked in the compartments of the train looking for lady bachelors…. we had lot of fun and enjoyed in the train and at last we reached our destination.

My friend came to the station with the cab to pick us up. First we went to the hotel and booked 2 rooms. The hotel was very nice, we refreshed ourselves and started in cab to the Beach. It is nearer to the Vizag steel plant but I have no idea about the name of the beach. No one was in the beach because it is not very popular but the location was superb. We went up the hill to the sea and enjoyed the nature. It was really an amazing experience. Then we started back to the Vizag and in the middle we had our lunch and I made a call to my brother in law. He is a naval commander and we asked him to take us to the base of the navy ship yard restricted by Indian navy and he took us their and requested not to take any photos. It’s an amazing place and we cannot go to that place anytime we want. There were so many war ships, cargo ships, submarines etc… we were very happy and enjoyed there. I went to the control room of the ship and sat in the captain seat that made me feel as a nation man…..it really made me happy and I can never forget that experience in my life.

Later we were back to the hotel, got refreshed and started to Huda beach, which is one of the famous beaches in Vizag and we also went Kailas Ghir, which is one of the Beach View Mountains in Vizag. We can see the entire Vizag from the hill. It is very beautiful and peaceful place for all kinds of people, mostly we can find lovers and couples there…

The second day we woke up very early in the morning and we called the cab driver to come early and started to Araku. On the way we decided to stop in Erra Dibadulu and Bemly Beach which are one of the popular tourist attractions in Vizag.

We reached the Bemly Beach again removed dress and ran towards the beach and enjoyed some time there. We found tourist boats in the middle of the beach, bought the tickets and started sailing. At first I was fear but after 2 min I was normal and had fun on boat. This was the first time in my life I have entered in the middle of the sea which is a memorable experience in my life.

Then started to Araku again and on the way we visited burrow. We enjoyed narrow roads very well and did so many stupid things like teasing the people on the roads just for fun and finally we reached our destination but it was night 7pm so we couldn’t see anything. We booked tree houses in a garden to stay at night. It was costly but we wouldn’t come here daily so we booked 2 tree houses and stayed at night there like Tarjans…….That was the first time I have seen the tree houses and stayed there that makes me laugh but it is a great experience….oh…I forgot to say you one thing actually we went on tour in the month of December. Winter is the best time to stay in the hill stations so we were lucky to be on the hill station on that time. We woke up very early in the morning to look at the beautiful nature in Araku. We found so many waterfalls, gardens, flowers etc……….it is really one of the beautiful place in south India, in Andhra Pradesh. We then went back to Vizag and then back to Hyderabad….

So this is my little experience about Vizag. We came back home and again the same routine life but we enjoy every day by remembering our sweet memories of Vizag.

After living in Brighton for 2 years, I can say Brighton is the best place I have ever lived. It is just 5 minutes walk from my house to the beach, 30 minutes walk to my work and several shops on the way, there is nothing much I can ask for. Walking on the beach, spending time at the Pier and loosing 2 pence coins in the gambling machines are my favourite pass times . As it is just takes 50 minutes to travel to London on Train, some people working in London prefer living in Brighton and travel to work. The only downside is the cost of living but I have no complaints because what you get what you pay for.

You can find people from all over the world in Brighton, which makes it a multicultural destination. There are many international cuisine restaurants in Brighton such as Chinese, Spanish, Mexican, Italian, Indian, and Thai to name a few, off course how can I forget English restaurants. I love trying new cuisines and I am always up for food at Las Iguanas, Bombay mix at St James street, Ashoka and Fat Leo as they have delicious food.

There are several beautiful places and parks near by so there is something for every one to do in the weekends. I have been to Southdowns in summer, which is a beautiful long stretch of greenland ideal for long walks. I would next love to go to Arundel which is famous for the Castle and the Wet Land reserve. There are several other places near by such as Beachyhead, Seven Sisters, Newhaven Paradise Park & Ashdown forest Llama Park.

Brighton plays a host to several festivals throughout the year such as Brighton food festival, Pride Festival, Brighton Fringe, White Air and Kite Festival.
